ABOUT HATCHERY YOUNG ARTIST PROJECT:
Hatchery is now made up of HATCHERY Young Artist Performance Project, Hatchlings, and the HATCHERY PIT BAND! All are unique pre-professional PERFORMANCE companies that supports young artists in developing their creative voices in dance and the performing arts. The Hatchery pre professional program offers a rigorous and inspiring training program meant to both prepare young artists for a dance career and support their growth into articulate and powerful humans. Hatchery members will have opportunities to create work, support the work of peers, and work with renowned guest artists.
The Hatchery program now offers THREE SECTIONS: Hatchery (ages 12-18), Hatchlings(ages 8-12), and the Interdisciplinary track for musicians and videographers (ages 12-18)
Jennifer Polins, the Artistic Director of Hatchery and Kate Martel, Hatchery Co Director has been working with teens for over 25 years and has cultivated a strong alumni network, allowing professional artists such as Shakia Johnson, Jasmine Hearn and Stuart Singer to mentor and share with the current company.
