Yu-Mei Wei will present woman composers such as Clara Schumann, Florence Price, and Amy Beach, who composed or presently compose for the piano. Several young musicians from Deerfield Academy will assist in playing compositions by women for stringed instruments. These speakers are recognizing the female gift of music through the ages.
