tr willits - Album Release Concert at The Iron Horse on Tuesday, May 26 2026

Northampton-based tr’s latest LP project, all of us, is an 11-song theme-based record inspired by the vision of bringing all people together to build a strong thread to love and community.  In writing the songs for this record, tr wanted to draw on his many years of writing and performing on guitar and piano in both the folk and rock genres. These new songs harken to music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s with certain artists like Stephen Stills and Richie Havens influencing the song structure and instrumentation.

“tr band” members who performed on the record: Matthew King, Chris Fournier, Zack Forray, Ilana Morris and Lucy Forray will join tr on stage at the Iron Horse all of us Record Release Concert.

tr went from high school graduation to touring with Billy Joel as the opening act. Performing for thousands sharing the stage with Steven Tyler and Aerosmith, The Mamas and the Papas, Tom Rush, Peter, Paul and Mary, Jonathan Edwards, J.D. Souther, Richie Furay, Chris Hillman, Jesse Colin Young and Lucy Kaplansky, and before his own audiences, tr has excited many across the years. His recording hits include In You and Everything You Do and his movie recordings include Video Love, which was featured in Valet Girls, and the movie soundtrack development for One Strike You’re Out. His recordings were heard in the Japanese television series Ari Deka. He has written well over two hundred songs and has published work recorded by other artists. He has produced records for artists such as The Fabulous Heavyweights and Chris Kleeman. 

tr’s last full-length cd, keep the faith, a collection of thirteen self-penned songs, was released in January 2002.  He spent a year performing house concerts in living rooms across the country and in well-known acoustic clubs. The record is still sold today.
