Ryan Hollander is a soulful singer who really packs a punch! Thursday March 5th, he's joined by some of the best musicians in the area for a night of soul, jazz, and rock music. Performing tunes by such greats as Marvin Gaye, War, & Bill Withers, as well as jazz standards from the Great American Songbook, and perhaps a few originals, too, you don't want to miss this night of great music!Ryan is a Springfield native and a product of the jazz program at UMass Amherst. He graduated in 2017 with a BA in Jazz Voice Performance, and in the same year received a Student Music Award from Downbeat Magazine as a part of the university’s acclaimed Vocal Jazz Ensemble. Since graduating, Ryan has spent time performing across the U.S. and Europe in such major cities as Miami, London, Berlin, and Barcelona. In 2019, following the release of his debut EP, Ryan performed at the main stage of the Springfield Jazz & Roots Festival, opening for such talents as Cory Henry & the Funk Apostles, Tia Fuller, and the Billy Arnold Trio. He has been featured on several occasions by the local community television programming at Focus Springfield and was recently featured on WTCC 90.7 FM during their Mid-Morning Jazz program.
