The Wild Hearts are an eclectic duo featuring a mix of original works and hippie-era rock & roll, roots country, bossa novas, standards and jazz-pop.
Betsy-Dawn Williams – lead vocals & rhythm guitar and Josh Gordon – lead guitar & electric violin, comprise this musical project. Williams has two CD releases of original works on the indie-European roots music label El Toro Records, and was a founding member of the band GiRL HOWDY, a Valley fave in their day, and led her rockabilly combo Li’l BeeDee & the Doo-Rites.
Josh Gordon has a lengthy resume playing with musical notables in Nashville, Chicago, and NYC, including Sam Andrew (of Big Brother & the Holding Company and Janis Joplin), The OK Club, an all-star band with members of Billy Joel's and Joan Jett's touring bands, lead guitarist with George Buford (Muddy Waters, Jr.) in a long-running weekly gig at Chicago's legendary Checkerboard Lounge.
