Each month, we’ll focus on two songs, posted in advance on our website so participants can listen, learn the chords, and come prepared. Led by local musician and educator Josh Ballard, the Slow Jam is a welcoming, supportive space to learn how jamming works in real life: how to follow chord progressions, take breaks, back each other up, and keep the rhythm moving. This hour is ideal for newer players or anyone who wants to build confidence before jumping into the open jam. It’s hands‑on, low‑pressure, and designed to help you grow as a player.

Instructor Bio: Josh Ballard is a Western Massachusetts based musician with a passion for making music accessible and inclusive for everyone.
