Family Friendly/Sensory Safe Nutcracker

Join Clara as she battles the Rat King to save the Nutcracker Prince, then travel through the enchanted Snow Forest and beautiful Kingdom of Sweets. It’s Pioneer Valley Ballet’s The Nutcracker, returning for its 41st year to the Academy of Music.

From Snow Queen to the tiniest reindeer, this treasured community event features PVB’s pre-professional students, guest artists, and 250 dancers from towns throughout Western Massachusetts. With its enchanting score by Tchaikovsky, PVB weaves the tale of a girl, a gift, and the magic of Christmas into the perfect holiday treat for the whole family.

Now in its third year, this performance has lighting and sound accommodations for reduced sensory experiences. A narrator will assist the audience at the start of the performance. This show will run approximately 1 hour without an intermission. Perfect for the littlest audience members, it’s a great way to introduce young kids to The Nutcracker.
