The Bromantics are a high-energy, six-piece band dedicated to making the audience groove to the new wave and alt rock tunes of their youth. Gen X'ers will be transported back to their college days when U2, R.E.M. and The Replacements were breaking through, while current students who are discovering the power of '80s post-punk will get to see some of their favorite songs performed live. Along with the bands above, think danceable covers by Talking Heads, The Clash, The Cars, Joe Jackson, Elvis Costello, The Cure, The English Beat, The Pixies, The Killers, Camper Van Beethoven, Guided By Voices, The Lemonheads, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Ocean Blue, The Velvet Underground, Cheap Trick, and more. They also perform a handful of original songs as well citing a broad range of influences, from barroom blues to classic new wave. Since their inception during the pandemic, The Bromantics have played at Western Massachusetts venues such as Luthier's Coop, Hitchcock Brewing and The Guilded Brick, with upcoming gigs scheduled at New City Brewery and Progression Brewing. The Bromantics are: Jesse Rhodes (vocals and guitar), Jim Danko (guitar and vocals), Mark Cybulski (bass), Richard Germain (drums), Andrew Pasquale (guitar), and Michael Schurter (keyboards and vocals).
