WHAT: Straw Dog Writers2nd Annual Literary Halloween Dead Writers Dance WHEN: Saturday, October 19th, at 7 pm - 11 pm WHERE: Northampton Center for the Arts, 33 Hawley Street Northampton, MA. Come meet other Straw Dog Writers. If you're inspired, dress up as a favorite dead writer or a character from literature... No need to dress up or even dance but we guarantee you won't regret it if you do! Our DJ is our admin director Laura aka DJ Bookworm, and she's happy to play all kinds of music! So far we have a Motown feel for the evening, everything from Aretha, Otis, Diana, to Stevie Wonder in the mix, with some 80's pop and 70's disco fever thrown in! There will be a cash bar, plenty of nibbles, and lots of literary fun to be had for all! All money raised from the dance goes towards providing free writing workshops for the community and stipends for our featured readers at our open mic events.
