We are honored to welcome Dr. Frances Jensen ’78 for a colloquium titled “Strengths and Vulnerabilities of the Young Adult Brain.” Jensen is the acclaimed author of The Teenage Brain and was a recipient of the Smith College Medal in 2020. An internationally recognized neuroscientist, Jensen is a leading expert in adolescent brain development. During her talk, Jensen will share the latest research on the young adult brain, exploring how emerging societal forces—including artificial intelligence, the proliferation of social media, cannabis legalization, and the long-term effects of the COVID-19 pandemic—are shaping brain development and behavior. This event is free and open to the public.
