SCORPIO RISING: The Power We Possess to Completely Transform Our Selves Scorpio Rising features an eclectic group of multicultural artists, musicians, singers, and dancers from Senegal to Latin America, and of course the Northampton area. Performances will run from 6-8pm and are kid friendly (though not specifically designed for children) From 2-5pm there will be discounted dance classes by local teachers: Latin, modern, and hip hop, classes are for adults and children and are $6 a person (payable by cash or check at the door), with event sliding scale $15-$25. Proceeds will go to Dance to be Free. a nonprofit that brings urban dance choreography into women's prisons. We hope to raise money to bring a Dance to be Free Trainer into our local women's prison. From 2pm-6pm we will be selling small plates of vegan and vegetarian foods, soups, salads, breads, and treats. Come out dance and enjoy some fabulous performances! See you there! This event is a celebration of the power of transformation and how we as humans have access to the consciousness to constantly remake ourselves to be closer and closer to our true essential being.
