When we think of fall baking, we often think of our sweet tooth. Barbara has some surprising ways to work savory baked dishes into your family meals as sides, mains or snacks. She’ll present a variety of cooking techniques as she prepares delicate caramelized onion and camembert scones which are a tasty, tender side to your favorite soup. Individual butternut squash, thyme and parmesan soufflés will feature browned butter in the batter, an impressive side to roasted meats or alongside a green salad. She’ll finish with quick and easy vegetarian empanadas filled with roasted potatoes, onions, spices and golden raisins makes for a hearty snack or fun lunch on the go.
