Register for the second discussion here.*   These books were written more than a half-century apart, but both authors call us to action in and for the world. As scientists and nature writers, the authors put important works into our hands, meant to make a difference. We'll explore the themes of the two books, how the authors' approaches to their subject are effective, what their calls to action might be, the changes these books have made, and why their writing is important. We'll also talk about factors that stand in the way of what we think the authors want for the world and what our responsibility is now that we've read their words.
