Opening reception with the artist for the solo exhibition "Scott Prior at 70"This exhibition includes landscapes and still lifes in oil by "one of America's greatest realist painters." See new paintings featuring the Pioneer Valley and Cape Code by an artist who has been honing his craft for over 50 years. The paintings glow with richly colored light filtered through windows, antique glasses, clouds at sunrise and sunset, and even the silk of hot air balloons. Scott Prior's paintings are in many public and private collections including the Boston MFA, Berkshire Art Museum, and New Britain Museum of American Art.
