Mountain River Taiko, Bombyx’s resident taiko group, is thrilled to be back on the Bombyx stage with another family-friendly, multi-disciplinary event in celebration of Japanese culture! Tsudoi means a gathering among friends. For this event, we are pleased to share the stage with Nihonbuyo dancer Michiko Kurata, taiko artist Stuart Paton, and koto player Anne Prescott.

Thanks to the generous support of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, this event is free, with donations to support MRT gratefully accepted. From rousing and raucous to pensive and peaceful, but always inspiring, we will present a range of artistic expression along with our guest performers.

Audience members will have the opportunity to take a brief Odori workshop with Michiko san during the intermission, and participate in a dance to open the second half of the show!
