Self-Evident Education is celebrating Juneteenth in a big way! Join us **in person** for the public premiere of the powerful documentary short, "**Get a Mule, Forty Acres or So..."** and a live taping of the podcast "**Remind My Soul."** Join local filmmaker and educator Michael Lawrence-Riddell as he tells a story from American history to Hip-Hop artist and educator Akrobatik. Akrobatik has not heard the story before. After their conversation, Akrobatik will have thirty minutes to write an original verse inspired by the story and the conversation about the story. He will then perform the original verse live. While Akrobatik writes his original verse, the audience will experience the film "**Get a Mule, Forty Acres or So..."**, which is Part 1 in what will be a three-part series about the histories and legacies of Black land ownership and farming called "Freedom's Soil: Land and Liberation." After the film screening, Michael and Akrobatik will be joined in discussion by Michael's co-producer for the film, Ibrahim Ali and African American History professor Ousmane Power-Greene.
