Hungry Eyes! with Alka Kanoujia

We are trilled to welcome back Alka Kanoujia of India House Restaurant. Many of our students will remember her warmth and humor, but especially her inspired cooking. Alka will be joined by Anjula, her talented daughter. Together this duo will create a room full of sweet aromas and a flavorful meal to remember. Be sure to take notes, you’ll want to recreate these dishes at home.
Anari Aloo Chaat, Appetizer (Gf, Vegetarian)
Simply lip-smacking! A famous street food of crisped Potatoes, fresh herbs gently tossed in zingy seasonings & garnished with fresh Pomegranate pearls.
Sultry Soy Nuggets (Textured vegetarian protein) Gf, vegetarian
A precious gift from my maternal grandmother! A unique concoction of marinated Soy nuggets in a hearty curry sauce of blended onions, tomatoes & yogurt
Jackfruit Pullao (gluten free, vegetarian)
You will never Miss Meat again! A jazzy basmati rice creation of protein rich Jackfruit infused with fresh turmeric, bay leaves & Alka’s homemade Garam masala.
Garlicky Eggplant with Tamarind & Fennel (Gf, vegetarian)
Fresh eggplant and potatoes with cinnamon, pounded spice, fresh ginger & tomatoes flavored with dry fenugreek.
Assortment of chutneys and pappadums will be served but not demonstrated.
