Well start with a brief introduction and helpful tips, then get right into it! Expect a propulsive groovy mix to carry us through stages both vigorous and gentle as we enjoy this practice of sweet release.

Shaking up our dense fascial webbing, we enable our bodies to release stored charge in our aching, grieving muscles and bones. Continually emptying, we make space for more vitality and easeful joy to come washing in!

WHY SHAKE?
Its good for our health! Shaking is a fundamental, cross-species movement pattern. We shake to release unnecessary tension habitually stored in our bodies. Intuitively accessible, shaking helps us to release the past to arrive more fully in the present.
Most of us have been socialized out of the birthright of vigorous intuitive physical expression in order to conform with cultural expectations.

Our bodies lovingly hold this unexpressed energy, for purpose of perceived safety and belonging. We are typically unaware of this process, and then normalize and even self-identify with the resulting symptoms: fatigue, lethargy, sore tension, diffused anxiety. Of course, dancing, exercise and other vigorous movement helps move charge, but there's something special about the simplicity of shaking.

This simple ritual can open pathways long forgotten. By shaking for long duration (1 hr), and with community, we can move A LOT of previously stuck energy and emotion.
