CELEBRATING and SPOTLIGHTING the inspiring and essential voices of our TEENS
Celebrate this holiday season with LIVE ART! DANCE- MUSIC- THEATER- VIDEO ENTERTAINMENT for all ages with works created by the Hatchery pre professional dance company and renowned guest choreographers Lauren Horn (Hartford), Alpha Bisko Kabisko Kaba, Jen Polins and the Hatchery Pit Band ( live original music and scores ).
SCDT's HATCHERY YOUNG ARTIST PERFORMANCE PROJECT is an inspiring and vibrant celebration of the creative voices of young artists. This event, held during the holiday season, showcases the incredible talent of 30 young artists from Western Massachusetts who create original works spanning across dance, music, theater, and video. Through the Hatchery initiative, the School for Contemporary Dance & Thought (SCDT) offers these tees not only a platform to present their work but also opportunities to collaborate, train, and develop as pre-professional performers.
The WE MEET AGAIN performance serves as both a moment of artistic expression and a statement of resilience during times of struggle and transformation. It’s an opportunity to witness firsthand the potential of artistry and how young artists channel their personal experiences, creativity, and diverse perspectives into powerful new pieces of art.
SCDT’s Hatchery project fosters lasting collaborative relationships, embracing diversity and nurturing the creative voices of the next generation. The event serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting young artists, and the creative energy they bring to our ever-changing world.
