Northampton, MA — April 3–4, 2026 at The Workroom at 33 Hawley in Northampton Contemporary circus company SPEC (Suspended Play & Educational Circus) presents Get Your Act Together, a contemporary circus production exploring deconstruction, identity, and collective reconstruction. Follow the story of a show director who assembles a circus performance live from a community bulletin board, discovering acts that interrogate the social structures and personal narratives we inherit.

Inspired by the concept of deconstruction, the show asks: What happens when the frameworks we were given no longer fit? How do we dismantle them — and what do we build in their place? Featuring nine acts working across aerial arts, puppetry, dance, and acrobatics, the show blends physical virtuosity with thoughtful storytelling. As flyers are removed and performances unfold, audiences witness not only individual acts but the gradual transformation of the show’s structure itself.
