At a time when the daily news can feel overwhelming, Geoffrey Hudson's sweeping oratorio A Passion for the Planet offers something different: a vision of collective possibility.
Performed by CONCORA (Connecticut Choral Artists) under the baton of Artistic Director Chris Shepard, this hour-long oratorio brings together professional musicians, community choirs, children's choruses, environmental organizations, faith communities, and local audiences in a shared expression of active hope for our planet.
What makes this performance unique: in the finale, the audience doesn't just listen — everyone is invited to join the performers and sing together.
This is the first of four New England performances:
Sept. 27 — St. John's Episcopal Church on the Green, Waterbury, CT
Oct. 3 — Latchis Theatre, Brattleboro, VT
Oct. 4 — Redfern Arts Center, Keene State College, Keene, NH
