We are delighted to present our city's 37th annual New Year's Eve celebration and festival of the performing arts on Friday, December 31, 2021. First Night Northampton continues to be a unique opportunity to celebrate the cultural vibrancy of our community while sharing time with friends, neighbors, and visitors. The event falls on a Friday this year; We look forward to welcoming enthusiastic crowds at the venues and on the streets of downtown.

Once again, we will witness a spectacular display of fireworks at 6:15 pm—all visible from the heart of the city. As midnight approaches, we'll gather together outside the Hotel Northampton for a unique "ball-raising."

Come join us as we present over 60 artists in over 90 performances from noon until midnight at 14 venues in downtown Northampton.

When you purchase a First Night pin (button) or donate to First Night Northampton, you are supporting resources for artists in Northampton. Proceeds from First Night Northampton help fund our ArtsEZ Spring Grant Program that directly assists the creative efforts of local artists, schools, and cultural organizations and helps them create more art in our city. In 2020, with your help, we gave out over $60,000 in direct grants to fund arts enrichment in Northampton, Florence, and Leeds.
