Field Notes: An Afternoon of Storytelling

Academy of Music Theatre (274 Main Street, Northampton MA 01060)

Music

CISA’s Field Notes is a live storytelling event celebrating the many ways local food and farming leave their mark on our lives and in our communities. This will be our fifth show, and this year’s theme is “In the Weeds.” Food is a part of everyone’s life. This show is for everyone who grows, cooks, or eats food!

Your western Massachusetts neighbors will share true stories about following dreams, sustaining livelihoods, and connecting with others through food. Recent stories have ranged from the awe and magic of maple trees to growing into an identity of being a “real cook,” and everything in between. Hear new perspectives, enjoy humor, and absorb the lessons our storytellers learned along their path.

CISA is pleased to offer language interpretation services again with this year’s show. This year’s storytellers come from diverse backgrounds and incorporating languages besides English in the show reflect this diversity.
