Fantastic Shows Presents: Electric Eyes w/ Les Derailleurs + Stock Goblin at The Iron Horse on Sunday, September 29 2024

The Electric Eyes are a Western Massachusetts rock band known for their eclectic sound, blending punk, post-punk, indie, prog, and psychedelia. The band features lead guitarist Steve Waksman, a Smith College professor and local radio personality known as the "Doctor of Rock", alongside songwriter and vocalist Matthew Medeiros, drummer Frederico Fernandes, and bassist Adam Douthwright. After two years of performing locally, they released their debut album, When Will This Be Yours, in 2019. During the pandemic the band went on hiatus, but they're returning this fall to play a show to bid farewell to Steve Waksman as he prepares to move to England.

Les Dérailleurs bring the post-punk party!  Eric Danton says of their latest single: “Leave It On is a lean indie-rock tune stacked with blazing guitars and a taut rhythm section that propels Joey Dérailleur’s expressive, catchy vocal melody."

Stock Goblin, formed at UMass Amherst, is a band consisting of five friends who share a love for many genres of music. The group’s set lists tie together funk, rock, and everything in between, with instrumental switches to accommodate their eclectic sound. Stock Goblin’s purpose has always been to make shows as fun as possible for both the audience and themselves. Their “homemade” EP, Trinkets, was released earlier this year.
