Bring a song still green on the vine. A juicy long-form granny-smith essay ripe to be shared. A poem turning like chrysanthemums toward the sun. A dark fiction parsnip buried deep underground. We want you to bring your “harvest” to this special open mic night.  Whether you’re reading, singing, performing, or a part of the supportive crowd, we encourage you to reflect on what you’re harvesting during this transition to the fall equinox. What did you sow earlier this season that you’re now reaping the benefits of? What have you lost?  The event is a fundraiser for the Pioneer Valley Shambhala Meditation Center, where we tend to ourselves and our community year-round. PVSMC is an entirely volunteer-driven nonprofit.  You’ll have the chance to make an optional donation at the door, and everyone is welcome. There will be a potluck! Feel free to bring a food or drink item to contribute. We will also have a raffle. Please arrive between 4:00 and 4:30 pm to sign up to perform, grab a seat, and settle in. The open mic will run approx 4:30 – 6:00 pm, followed by a potluck gathering until 7:00 pm.
