The Parlor Room (32 Masonic Street, Northampton MA 01060)

EVAN MURPHYEvan Murphy, known best for his work as a founding member of the groundbreaking bluegrass group Mile Twelve, is touring his debut solo project "Born Again Town" in the northeast. This recording showcases his songwriting in a new and raw way, focusing on deeply personal topics such as religion, home and family. Evan is backed by Isa Burke on guitar, Nate Sabat on Bass and Sean Trischka on drums.ERIC LEEA Pennsylvania-born songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Eric Lee shapes songs with stand-alone melodies and rich musical backdrops. From the personal to the sublime, they range from tales of honky-tonk heartache to anthems of social consciousness, and are told with a language of poetic and raw honesty. Lee draws from a well of uncommon musical depth, having recorded and toured internationally with acclaimed artists in folk, country, and bluegrass (Eric Andersen, Man About a Horse, The Kennedys.) His first full-length album, Heartache Town, reached #26 most-played album in national folk radio charts this year (with the single, “The Garden” reaching #25 most-played song,) and features vocalist Tracy Grammer, and IBMA mandolinist-of-the-year Jesse Brock. He has supported acts including Lorrie Morgan, The Gibson Brothers, and Tracy Grammer, and is becoming a powerful new voice in acoustic music.
