Downtown Sounds 50th Anniversary Celebration ft. King Radio, Lonesome Brothers, Downtown Sounds Workers Cooperative Band + more! at The Iron Horse on Monday, June 1 2026
Formed in 1986 when members Jim Armenti and Ray Mason weren't busy with their own projects, the Lonesome Brothers crafted their alternative country for years before they started recording it. Often known for their catchy traditional songs, the group did little more than live performances until the 90's, when they decided to begin their recording career. Starting with their eponymous debut in the late 90's, the band recorded semi-regular albums throughout the next few years, drawing on a crew of alternative country regulars to act as their backing band. ~ Bradley Torreano, Rovi
