Legendary Detroit proto-punk band DEATH have a remarkable history, chronicled in the acclaimed documentary “A Band Called Death,” which was released in 2012. That year also saw the release of their original recordings from the 1970s by record label Drag City Records, turning a new generation of fans to their powerful music. They have played to enthusiastic crowds throughout America and Europe as well as Amsterdam, Brazil, Mexico, Greece, & Spain. Their 1975 album “For The Whole World To See” is credited as pre-saging the punk movement and paved the way for Death to be inducted into the new Smithsonian African American History Museum in Washington DC in 2015.
