Abundance Farm presents their annual Community Spring Work Party, taking place at 253 Prospect Street on Sunday May 14, from 9:30am to 12pm, and followed by a free, vegetarian, community lunch.  Abundance Farm is excited to invite the public to their community food-justice farm for the annual Community Spring Work Party.  Gather on the Farm for a morning of collective work and Spring cleaning. Together the community will prepare the land for the growing season ahead. Festivities will continue at noon with a free, catered community lunch. This is a family-friendly event and there will be meaningful work projects for people of all ages and abilities.   Celebrating Mother's Day? Give mom the morning off, while the rest of the family joins us on the Farm! And invite mom to join the rest of us at noon for a delicious meal on the Farm.  Rabbi Jacob Fine, Farm Director, shares, “Abundance Farm’s first public event was its launch at a Community Spring Work Party in 2014. The Farm has grown so much in the last decade, but the Spring Work Party remains a very special event where the community helps the Farm gear up for the season ahead and has a great time just being together on the land.”  *Abundance Farm works to build a more generous, just, and sustainable world. They offer earth-based, community building experiences that integrate Jewish tradition, regenerative agriculture, and food justice on their site in Northampton. Abundance Farm is a project of Congregation B’nai Israel, in collaboration with Lander-Grinspoon Academy, and the Northampton Survival Center.*
