Christine Ohlman’s legendary voice and stage presence (she’s known as “The Beehive Queen” for her towering blonde hairdo) were featured at the 2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’s tribute to David Bowie; SNL’s 40th Anniversary telecast and post-show concert at the Plaza Hotel (with Jimmy Fallon & The B-52s as her backup singers) ; the 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Concert; the Carnegie Hall tribute to the Rolling Stones; Little Kids Rock galas (2012-15) in NYC (taking the stage with Steve Miller, Graham Nash, Bruce Springsteen, Brian Wilson, Elvis Costello, and others); 2015-16 WC Handy Festivals in Muscle Shoals (riding in Sam Phillips’ baby blue Cadillac as 2015 Grand Marshall, guesting with the Blind Boys of Alabama); Bob Dylan’s 30th Anniversary bash at The Garden; the Obama Inaugural Gala in Washington, D.C.; The Lincoln Center “American Songbook” series with Sting, Lou Reed and Van Dyke Parks; and the Central Park Summerstage Tribute To Janis Joplin (where she fronted both Big Brother & The Holding Company and the Kozmic Blues Band).
