Celebrating the publication of "Protesting with Rosa Parks" by NewSouth Books, John Bollard will read selections from this revealing new book recounting the experiences of over 95 people who, like Rosa Parks, refused to give up their rights and their seats on stagecoaches, trains, steamboats, streetcars, buses, planes, cars, even elevators and a shoe shine stand from 1832 to 2023. An open discussion, moderated by Professor Ousmane Power-Greene of Clark University, will be followed by refreshments and a book signing. This event is free.
