Bermuda Search Party w/ The Far Out at The Iron Horse on Saturday, April 25 2026

Unapologetically energetic, uplifting and with a live show that has been described as a “celebration of life”, Bermuda Search Party (FKA The Q-Tip Bandits) have emerged as a vibrant act that continues to touch audience’s hearts while getting them up on their feet.

After meeting in college and cutting their teeth in the Boston DIY music scene, the band recorded and released their self-produced debut LP, Melancholy Flowers, in 2022. Dynamic yet intimate, Melancholy Flowers features the vocal stylings and songwriting of both guitarist Leo Son and bassist Claire Davis, and smooth and soaring trumpet and trombone from Maclin Tucker and Hoyt Parquet. The band toured in support of the record throughout the year, culminating in four Boston Music Awards nominations, for Live and Pop Act of the Year, Song of the Year for “Daisy,” and Album of the Year.

Since then, the band has played hundreds of stages across the country, making their way from coast to coast and hitting festivals along the way including Boston Calling, Levitate Music Festival, SXSW, and Treefort Music Festival, before returning to the studio in September 2023 with producer Eric Palmquist (half•alive, Tate McRae, Bad Suns, Hunny) to record much anticipated new music, set to be released via Nettwerk Music Group.

The band toured in support of the record throughout 2025, culminating in four Boston Music Awards nominations, for Live and Pop Act of the Year, Video of the Year for “Olivia,” and Album of the Year.

The Far Out is a funk and soul pop band from Boston, Massachusetts. The six powerhouse musicians have been playing together since they were kids - learning and growing through shared experiences in jazz, theatre, a cappella, and orchestra. Now, the "Live Act of the Year” recipients at the New England Music Awards engage their audiences with lush vocals and groovy horn lines, supported by undeniable chemistry and raw star quality. Their goal is to include audiences in their infectious joy and spread the love of funk and soul music.

Taking after the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, and Earth, Wind & Fire, The Far Out is stacked with multiple lead singers and songwriters. Their genre is a cohesion of their individual tastes and influences, brought together by a shared aim to entertain and inspire. You’ll often catch the group of multi-instrumentalists switching roles during their shows — passing guitars around, moving from lead vocals to horn section, or stealing a moment behind the keys.

Since their formation in summer ‘21, TFO has quickly become a notable part of the Greater Boston music community. In 2025, they secured the awards for Live Act of the Year and Video of the Year (for “Laurel”) at the New England Music Awards. In addition, their debut album, Greetings from The Far Out, was nominated for Album of the Year at both the NEMAs and Boston Music Awards. The record is a total groove-fest and a celebration of the group’s chemistry and musicianship, and has been extremely well received by publications and radio stations nation-wide.
