This class will look at the roots of this African American dance form from the 1920s in Harlem New York and the authentic jazz movements as well as the basic technique that was developed for the dance. We will also be exploring everyone's individual style and how they enjoy moving through the movement that we do. The class will have partnered elements and solo jazz elements as well that together create the lindy hop.
