This beginner-friendly class invites tweens and teens to explore the fundamentals of painting while unlocking the expressive power of color! Using water-soluble oil paints, canvas, and color theory, students will create fun, funky, and vibrant paintings with confidence and creativity. Together, we’ll practice color mixing, exploring how colors interact and influence each other, and discover the magic of tinting, toning, and shading colors. We will create a variety of small painting studies in preparation for a larger artwork. Students will refine their skills as they explore the fun of oil paint!

Beyond technical skills, this class emphasizes the joy of experimentation and growth, encouraging participants to embrace imperfections and celebrate progress. By the end, students will not only have a finished painting but also a deeper connection to their artistic journey and their unique creative voice.

This class is suitable for both past students of Chloe’s as well as newcomers! We will explore new imagery and topics each semester.
