In this second meeting of the Hampshire Music Club's "Musical Potpourri" Series, Prof. E. Wayne Abercrombie will explore how three master composers (J.S. Bach, Alice Parker, and Frank Martin) set words to music. Excerpts from representative works will be played as illustrations. These works represent music created in the 1700s, and the early and middle 20th century.
