Amherst Ballet presents a unique adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, in collaboration with the Amherst High School Symphonic Orchestra. Featuring the music of Antonio Vivaldi and contemporary composer Mikael Karlsson, this blended performance incorporates classical and contemporary dance styles to tell the story of Shakespeare’s classic wacky comedy. Explore the darker side of the story through Amherst Ballet’s 21st century gender-bender version, performed by an exceptional cast of pre-professional dancers from the local community.
