COVID-19 Update

Beginning on Monday March 16th we at Mill River Music and Guitars will limit our walk-in shopping hours and ask our customers to call, email, or text us first to make an appointment if you would like to shop in the store. We will be here working, continuing our repairs, our shipping, our online store, and our buying, selling, trading, and consigning. If you must drop-in, we have a check-in station at the front of the store and we ask that you check in with our staff.

We will be happy to:

• Offer free or very low cost shipping to all of our local customers and our not-so-local customers. Need some strings tomorrow? We can probably ship them to you!

• Fulfill online or phone orders and arrange curbside drive through pick-up! We actually have the perfect location for this! I might even wear roller skates.

• Have you come into the store after letting us know and arranging it

We are a locally owned and operated Music and Guitar specialty store serving Western Mass and the world. We Buy, Sell, Trade, Consign, Service, Teach, and Repair all with care, trust, and transparency. Ask us about finding that vintage guitar you have been looking for and rest assured that we can ship it safely and legally!

We are totally committed to serving the needs of our customers and remaining a positive and focused force within our downtown Northampton community for as long as it takes to get through this and beyond.
We believe that the best way to serve you safely is by limiting our traffic and allowing our staff to work free from the stress of extra contact. This is also aligned with the goal of reducing the spread to vulnerable members of our community.

We have been sanitizing all surfaces in our store. We have bespoke Hand Sanitizer that Nina made from all food grade ingredients according to WHO recommendations (she has a PhD in the sciences and teaches in a Masters of Public Health program, she’s wicked smaht!), and we are using sanitary methods when needed to safely handle picks and all other materials that could be difficult to clean. We ask that when you come in that you handle items as minimally as possible and that you wash hands prior to doing so. Please respect the system we have in place, knowing that we have put a lot of thought into how best to serve your needs while keeping us safe!

We look forward to serving our community in as many ways as possible through this time, and we hope that this event leads to a more resilient, strong, and focused community, both locally and globally, that can fulfill the beautiful potential that we humans have. We hope that you continue to find ways to spread your art and your humanity through this time of social separation, and that we can be of service in helping you do that!
